Leafy Greens with Spicy Garlic Oil

A simple dish that is packed full of flavor and nutrients.

Leafy Greens with Spicy Garlic Oil

Ingredients

​

  • 4 garlic cloves, thinly sliced

  • ¼ cup olive oil (walnut oil gives a nutty flavor)

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil to massage greens

  • ½ tsp crushed red peppers

  • ½ tsp sea salt and pepper (optional, to taste)

  • 2 large bunches of spinach, kale, swiss or rainbow chard

 

Directions

 

  1. On medium heat add garlic, ¼ cup olive oil, crushed red peppers, salt, and pepper for 2 minutes.

  2. Combine greens into a large bowl and massage (with hands) to break down the greens.

  3. Add greens to garlic oil and lightly char on both sides.

  4. Serve immediately.
