Coming Full Circle in Life

As the responsibilities and pressures of survival can confine us to conform and react, our habits can become good for us, or hold us back from what we truly want.

The Full Circle of Life divides our state of being into 12 categories. Each category can be rated from one to ten, with ten being completely whole and pleasing to us. Utilize the diagram of circles to plot your level of satisfaction in each category. Then connect the dots. The goal is to help identify and determine where to spend more time and to create a balanced, grounded, happy life.

Spirituality and Joy

Our soul, or psyche, comprises the mental abilities of a living being: reason, character, feeling, consciousness, memory, perception, thinking, etc. Research is acknowledging just how important spirituality is to our well-being.
In “What is Civilization," Will Durrant states “The hope of another life gives us courage to meet our own death, and to bear with the death of our loved ones; we are twice armed if we fight with faith."

Faith is very grounding and is defined as a serene trust and surrender to an enlightened or highly developed being. When we are in awe of our lives and the world around us, anything is possible. Where there is faith, there is always hope. Hope is defined as the expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. Living without hope is daunting. Hope overcomes fear. To truly live a life without fear is healing and blissful, and can propel us to believe and achieve our dreams and purpose. To live a life full of purpose helps us to get to our authentic self. When we really function just as ourselves and not as what others want from us, we encourage Joy. Joy can come from the littlest of things. With gratitude, joy can be about a flower,, a painting, a smile from a friend, or a hug from a loved one. Joy comes from within us. It can’t be manufactured and sold. We determine our joy through the awe of life and the possibilities it holds.
